San Marino ha seleccionado a Senhit como candidata para Eurovisión con "Freaky!". La cantante vuelve al festival tras representar a la Serenísima República en 20101 con la canción "Stand by".
Aunque la artista ha sido elegida internamente por la emisora pública SMRTV, el público ha tenido la oportunidad de votar por la canción para Róterdam a través de la web oficial de Senhit: los usuarios prefirieron "Freaky!" sobre "Obsessed".
El tema ha sido compuesto y escrito por Gianluigi Fazio, Henrik Steen, Nanna Bottos y trata sobre la fuerza del amor, capaz de romper con el qué dirán y con todos los impedimientos si es verdadero.
Sobre Senhit
Senit Zadik, de origen eritreo, nació en Bolonia y creció entre esta ciudad y San Marino. Su debut artístico tuvo lugar en Suiza con el musical Fama (1999-2000), bajo la dirección de Andreas Koeneche. En la temporada 2001-2002 cosechó gran éxito en Alemania al interpretar el papel de Nala en el musical de Disney The Lion King.
En mayo de 2006, Senhit lanzó su primer álbum, SENIT, que vendió miles de copia en toda Italia.
San Marino en Eurovisión
Senhit se une a Valentina Monetta y Serhat como artistas que han acudido al certamen más de una vez por San Marino. El país sólo ha llegado a la final en dos ocasiones desde que se unión en 2008: la primera vez fue en 2014, con Valentina y "Maybe (Forse)"; y la siguiente en 2019, cuando Serhat cantó "Say na na na" sobre el escenario de Tel Aviv. Precisamente, el candidato del año pasado es el que ha conseguido la mejor posición de San Marino hasta el momento, la 19 de 26.

Senhit actuará en la segunda semifinal del festival del 14 de mayo e intentará conseguir un nuevo récord para su país en la final del festival de Róterdam.
