El joven cantante Brendan Murray ha sido el elegido por la televisión RTÉ para representar a Irlanda en Eurovisión 2017 con la canción "Dying to try" .
A sus 20 años, Brendan ha estado más de dos años sobre los escenarios como miembro de la boyband irlandesa Hometown. Hace unas semanas, la RTÉ le eligió como representante eurovisivo, en lo que será el primer gran proyecto de Murray como solista.
Este es el segundo año consecutivo que la televisión pública irlandesa apuesta por la elección interna de su candidato. El pasado año el afortunado fue el ex Westlife Nicky Byrne con la canción "Sunlight", con la que fue eliminado en semifinales.
