November is traditionally a bad month for unemployment. However, in Andalucía, the number of unemployed people last month fell in all sectors, except in services, where it increased by 3,500. The sharpest decreases were in those without previous employment, that is, almost 2,500 fewer unemployed people, followed by Construction, Agriculture and Industry.
By provinces, unemployment in November fell mainly in Jaén (due to the olive-picking season), followed by Córdoba, Almería, Sevilla and Granada. Unemployment rose in Málaga in particular, standing at 4,500 more unemployed people, followed by Huelva and Cádiz. The average membership enrolled in Social Security increased in Andalucía by 11,800 employed people.
