A goal by the Frenchman Loïc Rémy in the closing minutes put an end to Athletic Club's streak - not only were they undefeated, nobody had scored a goal against them in their three previous matches in La Liga Santander. The start of the match was promising, but it gradually became more difficult and ended badly when Halilovic was injured.
