Today is an official day of mourning in this Andalusian village for the murder, allegedly at the hands of its father, of an eight-month-old baby. A new case of chauvinist violence which raises the number of children killed in our country to six. The baby¿s 31-year-old mother received a brutal beating that has kept her in the hospital.
In Arcos, where this family lived, the residents held a moment of silence to condemn what happened. The detainee, about 40 years old, who had no record of previous gender-based violence, will foreseeably be brought to trial this Friday.
