The Board of Extremadura cautiously commends the new renewable energy tender for 3,000 megawatts, which was announced by president Mariano Rajoy, hoping that it will mean a new opportunity for the energy sector in Extremadura after the last tender on 17 May.
The last bid, says the Board, disadvantaged Extremadura for giving priority to wind and photovoltaic projects, which are more present in the region.
