The Treasury Department wants to encourage holiday rentals through the Canary Island Investment Reserve. This type of rental is practically prohibited on the islands.
The association that brings the owners of these properties together urges the Government of the Canary Islands to regulate this activity that around 30 thousand people on the islands partake in.
