The Canary Islands is the autonomous community which has the most national parks, which include El Teide, Garajonay, La Caldera de Taburiente and Timanfaya. Two of them have been declared World Heritage sites by UNESCO, and Timanfaya in Lanzarote is also a biosphere reserve. Soon, ¿El Mar de Las Calmas¿ in the island of El Hierro will be included in the network.
